The Bad

Special teams

Once again we are talking about a missed field goal.  Kicker Phil Dawson missed another easy chance in the first half with a chance to go up 10-0.

That is three weeks in a row Dawson has missed a kick.  A converted attempt there would have left the Cardinals with a chance to tie the game late had they scored a touchdown on their last offensive drive.

The punting was not much better.  Andy Lee left the Cowboys with very good field position a couple of times with shorter punts.  The coverage team didn’t help.

Kerwynn Williams and Patrick Peterson never had a chance to return anything.  It looked like on a couple of chances, Williams had some room in front of him instead of calling for a fair catch.

Lack of pass rush

The Cardinals couldn’t generate much of a pass rush on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.  He was only sacked once, by linebacker Chandler Jones.

Penalties hurt.  Markus Golden jumped the gun with an offsides call.  But no one really got close to Prescott the rest of the night.
