The Cardinals have a score to settle with the Lions. They played each other on opening day in 2017 in Detroit.

The Cardinals had a lead for the first three quarters, leading 17-15 going into the fourth quarter. Unfortunately the defense grew tired being out on the field a lot. The Lions won 35-23 running away.

This was also the game the Cardinals lost running back David Johnson for the season to a broken wrist. Now that’s not on the Lions but at the same time many Cardinals fans will be thinking it that week of the season.

The Lions will bring back quarterback Matthew Stafford. They will also have a new coach. Nothing is officially announced yet but all signs are pointing to current New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia as being the new head coach.

The Lions victory over the Cardinals back in September snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Cardinals in the series. It is time to start a new streak.
