Kyle Lauletta, Richmond

Lauletta has the accurate arm the Cardinals could use in the new offensive system being established in the Steve Wilks era.  In 2017, he had just two games with a completion percentage under 61.1 percent.  His season low was 57.4 percent.

Over his career with the Richmond Spiders, he threw 73 touchdowns.  Last season he threw for 3.737-yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

The Cardinals have watched him.  He could be a stretch at 15 but if the Cardinals like him enough and he’s going to get to spend the next season or two learning, then no harm.

He’s not the household name many fans will want to see in Arizona but some of the best quarterbacks in history weren’t names until they made one for themselves at this level.  Lauletta is known but many fans out west don’t know much about the guy.

Based on what I’ve seen and heard though, it may not end up being a stretch after all.  Remember, unless an emergency occurs, he will not have to play in 2018.
