Center

Mason Cole

In what was supposed to be Cole’s learning year behind Shipley, now has become a starting spot for Cole.  He was drafted in the third round of the 2018 draft by the Cardinals.

There was worry early on in camp that Cole wasn’t picking up the offense as quickly as the team had liked.  However, they had no choice but to inset him when Shipley went down one week before the first preseason game.

Cole has turned out so far to be a great find.  Of course again, we temper the excitement with the fact it was just preseason.

However Cole seems to be the real deal and ready to go.  The Cardinals must have felt he was completely ready after they released Evan Boehm and left Daniel Munyer at backup.

Daniel Munyer

Speaking of Munyer, he started out the preseason on not such a good note.  He had extreme difficulty snapping the ball to quarterback Josh Rosen out of the shotgun in the first preseason game.

A lot of fans turned and wanted him cut.  Certainly the fans had valid opinions on the matter but the Cardinals stuck with him.  He seemed to turn things around towards the end of the preseason.
