Patrick Peterson

It all starts and ends with Peterson.  He started his career on a high, then had a rough time of it a few years ago due to health issues.

However he has re-established himself as one of the top shutdown corners in the game.  The Cardinals should feel damn lucky and proud to have not only great defender but an equally or even greater person off the field representing this organization.

Peterson showed in preseason why he is still the best.  He had an interception return for a touchdown against the Cowboys.  Sure it was against the second string, but he proved why he is the best.

He can break towards a ball with anticipation.  He knows when the ball is coming.  He can make amazing plays on balls that many others couldn’t.

It’s not always about grabbing an interception though.  It’s about how he plays his receivers.  Many quarterbacks, not all, are afraid to throw his way most of the time.  When they do, it usually doesn’t turn out very well for them.
