Bene Benwikere

Benwikere had a very good preseason and camp.  He was making plays on almost anything that came his way.

He easily could have been named the starter over Taylor, however with the way Taylor was playing, it wasn’t enough to overtake him.  He should get plenty of opportunity to play this season however.

Benwikere comes over from the Cowboys where he played in 2017.  He spent the previous three seasons with the Carolina Panthers, so there is some familiarity with head coach Steve Wilks there.

He spent most of his four years previous to the Cardinals as a backup.  He has only started 14 of the 39 NFL regular season games he has played in.

That too could have played a factor in Benwikere ending up second behind Taylor.  Be that as it may, don’t sleep on him.  Expect to hear his name a lot this season and for nothing but good reasons.
