3. Jordan Hicks

If there is a common theme among the free agent signings by the Cardinals this season, it is the injury history of the players they brought in.  However if Hicks can somehow stay healthy, this ends up being a great signing by the team.

The third round pick out of the University of Texas in 2015, Hicks comes over from the Philadelphia Eagles.  He has five sacks and seven interceptions over his first four seasons.

He injured his Achilles in 2017 but returned to play 12 games in 2018.  He had three sacks and five passes defensed in 2018.

He has played a full 16 games just once since being drafted.  He played and started all 16 games in 2016.  He had by far his best season then with 11 passes defensed, five interceptions.  He also had 85 tackles, six shy of the 91 he has last season.

I think the Cardinals would be happy with that kind of production from an linebacker.  Again, let’s hope he can remain on the field.
