Backup quarterback

It’ll be a huge shock if Brett Hundley isn’t the number two quarterback by the time camp ends in August.  That said, there are two other quarterbacks on the roster who will duke it out for a possible roster spot.

There is rookie quarterback Drew Anderson

and first year quarterback Charles Kanoff.  Kanoff spent time with the Cardinals last year on the practice squad.

Anderson was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Murray State.  He was likely brought in more as a camp body but you never know?  Maybe Anderson shows more in camp to earn at least a practice squad spot?

They each will likely get a good amount of reps over the first couple weeks of preseason.  We may have a good idea by preseason week two if either one of them will be hanging around long enough to make it interesting at final cut time Labor Day weekend.
