#94 John Gilliam

The first member of this list that did not play at least part of his career in Arizona with the Cardinals.  Gilliam was a member of team in St. Louis from 1969-1971.

He had three very productive seasons in St. Louis.  He played his first two season with the New Orleans Saints.

In 1969, he had 52 receptions for 997-yards and nine touchdowns.  That translated into a 19.2-yards-per-catch average.  He had an 84-yard touchdown reception that season.

In 1970, he caught fewer balls with 45 grabs but still had 952-yards receiving and five touchdowns.  Amazingly though his average jumped to 21.2-yards-per-catch.

In his last season with the Cardinals in 1971 his numbers dropped a little with 42 receptions for 837-yards and three touchdowns.  Still 17 touchdowns was nothing to sneeze at.

Turns out he got even better after he left.  He had 1,035-yard receiving for the Minnesota Vikings in 1972, leading the NFL with 22-yards-per-catch average.
