Matt Prater

Yes, the kicker is someone to pay attention to on Sunday.  Matt Prater is one of the best of them in the NFL.  The last three seasons Prater has been 3-5, 7-11 and 7-7 on field goal attempts of 50-yards or greater.

His longest field goal last season was from 54-yards.  However in 2017 and 2016 he hit one from 58 each season.  He hit one from 59-yards in 2015 and his career-high is 64, made in 2013.

Once Detroit crosses midfield, Prater is a threat to score.  So it is even more important the Cardinals keep the ball out of the Lions’s hands as much as they can.

This is Prater’s 13th season but he doesn’t seem to be regressing at all.  The Cardinals special teams will have a hard time getting to any ball he kicks.  The only ones that might stop Prater from scoring is the Lions themselves.
