Los Angeles Chargers. 10. team. 13. . 1-0.

Without Melvin Gordon, the Los Angeles Chargers did just fine.  It is safe to say the Chargers will just let Gordon join them whenever he feels like it.  With running back Austin Ekeler in the fold, there is no need for a hurried Gordon return.

Ekeler had 12 carries for 58-yards and a touchdown.  He also proved to be huge in the passing game.  He caught 6 passes for 96-yards and 2 touchdowns, which included a 55-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

His rushing touchdown came in the overtime period against the Colts in their 30-24 victory.  The one concern, if you want to call it that, would be the Chargers keeping quarterback Philip Rivers protected.  He was sacked 4 times on Sunday.

Now the Chargers head east to face the Detroit Lions in week 2.  The Lions will be hungry for a win after melting down in Arizona to tie the Cardinals on Sunday.
