Arizona Cardinals: 5 who stepped up vs Ravens
By Scott Allen

Byron Murphy Jr.
Murphy is making the Cardinals front office look smart in their selection of the Murphy in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The local product from Saguaro High School and the University of Washington is showing the future is bright at cornerback.
Murphy had 7 tackles on Sunday against the Ravens. However he had 2 passes defensed, including a huge one in the fourth quarter. The Ravens tried to challenge the no-call on pass interference but were unsuccessful.
Murphy was pressed into starting service earlier than the team had hoped when Robert Alford went down with an injury in the preseason. Alford was expected to step in for Patrick Peterson, who served the second game of his six-game suspension on Sunday.
Murphy had 5 tackles in week 1 as well. So, he has been active so far. Murphy may end up being a player even better than expected when all is said and done thanks to his early career reps.
