Fire Vance Joseph

It’s not completely his fault, but you can’t go fire 25 players on defense either.  Yes, there is a talent issue with a number of players on this Cardinals defense.

Whatever is being called and whatever scheme is run, it’s not working.  That’s on Vance Joseph.  The Cardinals have lost a number of close games, in particular because of the defense.

Is the bye week the right time to call for Joseph’s job?  An argument can be made no time is better.  We never root or cheer a guy losing his job.

Joseph is a really good guy.  Would have loved to see it work out.  However now is a good time to implement some things and work on things they can take into the offseason having a new defensive coordinator try some things.

Will firing Joseph make things better instantly?  Of course not and it would be naive to believe so.  It’s all about laying the foundation for 2020.
