After finishing 2025 with only three wins, Cardinals fans were very disappointed in the production put up on the field. Unfortunately for them, it would not be a shock if 2026 were the same outcome.
Sure, the Cardinals made additions to a roster that desperately needed it, adding guys like Tyler Allgeier and Isaac Seumalo. But at the same time, there were other positions that desperately needed a significant upgrade, with no solution being implemented.
Bleacher Report released an article that no team wants to find itself in; it listed six teams that could be in tank mode for 2026. Sure enough, the Cardinals were on it, and they ranked only second behind the Miami Dolphins in that front.
Written by Kristopher Knox, he said the following on the Cardinals' struggles.
“The Cardinals have talented players like Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, and Marvin Harrison Jr. However, they won just three games in 2026, and they've done nothing to dramatically upgrade their roster this offseason. A year from now, head coach Mike LaFleur should have a shot at getting "his" quarterback through the draft.” — Kristopher Knox

These are all fair statements to make, as Arizona hasn’t made a single move that has put fans in awe. While they have made solid signings, there is plenty of more that needs to be done before they are back to being a somewhat competitive team.
Playing in the NFC West, with three other daunting teams competing against them six times a season, the Cardinals are just not built to make that big run yet.
With the No. 3 overall pick and a new head coach, this will be a big transition year for them. But it will certainly be exciting.
