The Arizona Cardinals have already addressed the offensive line once this offseason by signing former Super Bowl Champion Isaac Seumalo to a three-year, $31.5 million deal. Whether this is the only move made towards the unit this offseason remains a question.
The Cardinals' offensive line in 2025 was lackluster to say the least, and it posed as one of the biggest issues, considering that the team had a pocket passer at quarterback for the majority of the season. One who needed solid pass protection to succeed.
Arizona holds the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft this upcoming April, and that is one of the greatest opportunities for Ossenfort and company to select one of the top offensive line talents in this crop. Miami’s Francis Mauigoa and Utah’s Spencer Fano headline it, but what if we said that the Cardinals could follow a different path with the selection if they chose to sign a veteran to man the other side of the line?

We’re talking about former Detroit Lions tackle Taylor Decker, who spent the first ten seasons of his NFL career in the Motor City. This offseason, he was released in a move to save cap space, but he still has plenty left in the tank to make an impact.
A short-term contract to dish out would not be a bad idea by any means, as it would enable the front office to go defense in the draft.
With guys such as Arvell Reese, Caleb Downs, Rueben Bain, and David Bailey all can’t-miss prospects available in the top ten, there may be second thoughts in the Cardinals' front office regarding who they take with the third overall pick.
Taking Decker could cross off the need for offensive line and allow Ossenfort to select his next cornerstone defender.
