The Cardinals could go in any direction in this year’s NFL Draft, with the number of needs they have to address. It’s really anyone's guess on who they take with the No. 3 overall pick this upcoming April.
Arizona made minor additions to the offense, adding Tyler Allgeier to the running back room, along with providing Jacoby Brissett with some competition at quarterback by signing Gardner Minshew. However, there is more that must be done.
According to NFL.com, the Cardinals are projected to hit on one of their biggest needs, which is an offensive tackle on a cheap rookie contract. According to Chad Reuter, Arizona will go with Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa at No. 3, but to many’s surprise, the Cardinals will not be done addressing offense after that.
In the third round at pick No. 65, the Cardinals could find their quarterback of the future, but nobody would’ve thought this prospect would be in Arizona.

Cardinals Projected To Select Garrett Nussmeier At Pick No. 65
The Arizona Cardinals are projected to select a quarterback this year, and it won’t be Fernando Mendoza or Ty Simpson. Instead, it will be LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier.
In his senior year at LSU, Nussmeier threw for 1,927 nine games at the helm, but his season indeed ended early with a core injury.
A year prior, Nussmeier eclipsed 4,000 yards passing with 29 touchdown passes, so the potential is clearly there.
This decision will be up to not only Monti Ossenfort but also the new head coach, Mike LaFleur. If the Cardinals choose to select Nussmeier at any point in the draft, the opportunity to hit on it is just as big as the opportunity to flop.
