Recently I did an interview with Andrew Kamenetzky, a writer for ESPN The Magazine, about what it meant to me being an Arizona Cardinals Fan. Some questions he asked were:
1. Why the Arizona Cardinals?
2. How long had I been a fan of the Big Red?
3. How was I able to continue to love my team in the face of such overwhelming disappointment?
4. Have I ever thought about just giving up on them?
You know………the standard 3rd degree you get from anybody when you tell them that you are a Cards fan. It’s not that Andrew was being rude or [...]

A Legend is Lost – Bill Walsh
Today after a long and tough battle with leukemia, former San Francisco 49ers Head Coach, hall of famer and NFL legend Bill Walsh passed away. He was 75 years old. I write this post with a heavy heart, because this man changed the way we play the game of football, he was the quintessential leader on and off the field and has left his mark on the sporting world forever. It does not matter if you are a San Francisco fan or not (and I am the first to admit I am OBVIOUSLY NOT A 49ers FAN)……if [...]

You can already feel the tempo picking up around the league as teams are coming together, deals are being made and rookies are about to get their first taste of contact drills in the NFL. And as the tempo increases, there are alot of stories out there to cover, so I’ll just highlight what I think are the most significant and worth your time.
1. Brown and Cards still talking…….they’re just not writing anything down
Levi Brown, the number 5 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, remains a holdout with the Arizona Cardinals as both sides continue to work [...]
Alan Branch, the second round draft pick (33rd overall pick) for the Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms on a 4 year deal according to team sources. Per the club’s policy, the terms were not disclosed. This now leaves only Levi Brown, the Cards first round selection (5th overall pick), as the only remaining unsigned player. “Positive talks” continue with Brown’s agent, as both sides have agreed on the structure of the contract, but are still haggling over exact dollar amounts, including guarantees. The players report to camp this Friday, July 27th, and the first practices begin [...]

The Arizona Cardinals front office announced today that the team has come to terms with their 3rd round selection, rookie Florida State LB Buster Davis. Davis, the 69th overall selection, has agreed to a three-year contract with the Cards. However, per the club’s policy the terms were not disclosed.
So now that leaves two members of the 2007 draft class still unsigned: Penn State OT Levi Brown (#5 Overall) and Michigan DT Alan Branch (#33 Overall). Both WR Steve Breaston (5th round pick) and TE Ben Patrick (7th round pick) signed earlier in June and talks are ongoing with [...]
