Darren Urban from azcardinals.com says the Cardinals need to tighten up the defense.  He also thinks the Cardinals would do themselves good by scoring first.  I couldn’t agree more! ESPN.com’s Mike Sando reports that the game this week between the Buffalo Bills and the Arizona Cardinals on CBS, will be called by Bill Macatee and Steve Beuerlein.  They rank seventh out of seven CBS crews.  I’m surprised after last week they even wanted to send a crew to televise the game.  Well, I guess the Buffalo fans, oops, I mean Toronto (does Toronto even get CBS?) fans will have something to watch. Looking at what’s going around the NFL, more so around the Fan-Sided Network and what bloggers are saying about their teams today. The Cardinals were full of hope and promise just two weeks ago.  Now, they just hope to avoid disaster.  However these last two weeks remind me of great clip from National Lampoon’s Vacation.  You get your hopes up all high and your handed a gift, only to find the gift is worth nothing at all.

I had already turned off the game, so I missed the live event and thank God I did.  I just saw the replays of the hit on Anquan Boldin.  Uncalled for.  Ugly.  Unecessary.  Name your adjective. Reports are he is ok and tests are negative after being carted off into an ambulance after a helmet-to-helmet hit.  He is staying overnight in a New York hospital for precautionary reasons. I really don’t have enough time in my day to explain what just took place in New Freakin Jersey.  No seriously, I really don’t have the time, nor do I have the patience to relive the natural disaster at the Meadowlands. Jets are knocking on the door.  They will have a 2nd and goal to start the 2nd quarter.  Expect the Jets to find the endzone on the next play. A promising 1st quarter turned sour really fast and now Favre looks to be getting his groove on.  It’s going to be 7-0 soon.  Let’s hope the Cards can reduce the mistakes in the 2nd quarter. So, as we sit here with still more than a third of the first quarter left, the Cardinals have already done enough to lose this game.  All week this was my concern.  Mental breakdowns, poor decision making, and just overall poor play. In case you are keeping track so far, Warner fumbled the ball for a -23 yard loss Boldin fumbled the ball on the next play back to the Jets Warner gets called for intentional grounding on 3rd down Neil Rackers has a FG blocked.
