Pro Football Weekly recently put out who they think could be a breakout fantasy star at running back in 2011.  One of the five names?  The Arizona Cardinals second round pick, Ryan Williams.  That is an interesting pick considering the Cards haven’t said how they plan to utilize Williams this upcoming season. As we usher out June and usher in July, the NFL Lockout is still on but depending on who you believe, the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL could be close to a deal or could be as far away from a deal as they were when this whole thing started in March.

I am not against the Arizona Cardinals going after free agent corner Ike Taylor.  I just hope they go after him for the right reasons and the right money.  There has been so much rumor around Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for Kevin Kolb that it makes sense to talk Ike Taylor, who has said he is willing to test the market.

With a couple of teams recently moving their training camp back to team headquarters, it is now a common question being asked around the league. Where will you hold training camp? For the Arizona Cardinals, the answer was simple: Flagstaff.

Here’s a shocker:  Larry Fitzgerald is amongst the best 100 NFL players.  Here’s a bigger shock, he’s in the top 20.  Yeah, he’s that good.  Despite his numbers in 2010, which really, save for the touchdown total, weren’t that bad.  Former coach Todd Haley was interviewed for the segment on the NFL Network and it was disclosed they weren’t all chummy with each other early on. Fitz though came in at number 14.  I can live with that.  He can pretty much grab any ball, which is what Haley spends some time talking about.

Just two words:  Fiesta Bowl. That’s all you need to know about this story.  Because of the uprising the Fiesta Bowl has caused regarding freebies having been given to Arizona lawmakers, now of course the story comes out that Arizona Cardinals have had the same practice as well.  As far as I am concerned, there should be no concern.

What’s all this talk of the Buffalo Bills maybe moving to Los Angeles?  Well, they are just the next team in a long line of teams rumored to be moving to southern California after LA lost both of it’s teams in the 1990′s. The Arizona Cardinals were at one point, in that rumor line.

So just what are some of your Arizona Cardinals up to as we wait for the NFL Lockout to be resolved?  Of course lately we all know about Steve Breaston’s poetry, Larry Fitzgerald’s workout with Kyle Orton, and the constant talk the past couple of days of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie being rumored to be going to the Philadelphia Eagles straight up for Kevin Kolb.

Yeah, did you hear this rumor today?  If I ran the Arizona Cardinals, I would not trade Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie straight up for the Philadelphia Eagles Kevin Kolb.  The Cards just drafted Patrick Peterson from LSU and have the chance to have shut down corners on both ends of the line of scrimmage. Yes, I know DRC has not proven to be a consistent shut down corner yet.  Give him time.

If we are to believe the rumors about the new collective bargaining agreement that hopefully will be signed soon by the owners and the players, we will have a Thursday night football game every week of the season, starting with the 2012 campaign. What does that mean for Arizona Cardinals fans?
