Today we look at the quarterback position. The Arizona Cardinals training camp schedule was released last week.  We are now 33 days away from the team hitting Flagstaff and starting their 2010 season. Highlights include: Two night practices.  One on Wednesday August 4th and the other Wednesday August 18th at Coconino High School. Cardinals “Red and White” practice from 9:15-11:15 am on Saturday August 7th.  An autograph session will be held from 8:45-9:15 am. The Arizona Cardinals may have just lost one receiver for the fourth receiver on their 2010 roster.  Ed Gant, who is fighting for the fourth receiving spot for the upcoming season, has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s policy on anabolic steroids and related substances. OTA’s have ended for the Arizona Cardinals.  Now comes the hard part for fans.  Waiting for training camp to start at the end of July in Flagstaff. After OTA’s ended officially on Thursday, the next scheduled team event will be reporting day at training camp headquarters at Northern Arizona University.  According to Darren Urban from azcardinals.com, most players will be off until that takes place.  However, rookies and some younger vets will stay around for conditioning. Now that OTA’s have ended, it’s time to think about what happens next.  So what does happen next?  Nothing.  Nothing at all, at least until the end of July when training camp in Flagstaff starts. The Arizona Cardinals just ended OTA’s today, with today’s session being canceled by coach Ken Whisenhunt. So, I’ve put together a small wish list of things I would like to see and not see from the Cards until then. It’s been more than a month since the Arizona Cardinals had their impressive draft, filling the biggest needs they had.  They drafted Dan Williams from Tennessee.  A surprise but a pleasant one at that.  They drafted Daryl Washington from TCU, not the TCU player we expected them to draft.  They took a quarterback from Fordham, who the Cards are very high on.  They even drafted a guy, O’Brien Schofield, who injured himself in the combine and could miss some considerable time this season.
